Like György Ligeti before him, Michele Sanna is fascinated by the culture of the Pygmies, but it is not only their music, but above all the magnificent storytelling of this Central African tribal group that he translates into colourful and eloquent sounds in his ensemble piece ‘The Factory of Illusion’, premiered in 2023.
